Melissa Stawinski, OTR/L earned her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College in Springfield, MA in 2010. She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Movement and Sports Studies with a concentration in Physical Education from Springfield College in 2006.
After teaching Physical and Health Education to elementary school age children, Melissa found her passion for Occupational Therapy through the mentorship of a colleague who was an Adapted Physical Educator and Occupational Therapist. Melissa has experience working in Long-term Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation and Outpatient Rehabilitation with her greatest emphasis on Neurological Rehabilitation throughout the continuum of care. She has completed extensive coursework on Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) for the treatment of clients with hemiplegia and has extensive experience with upper extremity rehabilitation.
Melissa loves yoga, reading, and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
