Nicholas Carrico, OT NJ License #46TR00668400

Nick graduated Seton Hall University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences and gained a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2014, in part due to his passion for working with adults with developmental disabilities.

As a new therapist, Nick was excited to begin his journey as a therapist at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ. He worked as an inpatient occupational therapist focusing primarily on individuals with both traumatic and acquired brain injuries. With time he found interest working specifically with individuals who sustained CVA and with individuals sustaining lower extremity amputations, as this was an area he specialized in during his fieldwork experiences when in graduate school. With that experience, Nick felt compelled to work among those individuals most in need throughout the community.

This brought Nick to Back to Health where he currently works as an Occupational Therapist for older adults and those with physical, developmental and mental disabilities, treating these individuals in their natural home environments. Nick also enjoys mentoring students and staff throughout the ins and outs of occupational therapy in the home setting.

Additionally, Nick has experience working with developmentally and intellectually disabled adults and children, volunteering for almost thirteen years at Camp New Day/HANDS, a volunteer camp and weekly program for adults with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Nick also enjoys travel and prides servant leadership, taking time out of his schedule in the past to travel to Central America to serve the less fortunate.
